Homemade Flavored Lip Balm

My sister and I have been making homemade lip balm for the past couple of months.  We got this kit as a gift from a friend.  It's from Toys 'R' Us and the kit included beeswax and some other ingredients you need for making your own beauty products. Now we're hooked!  Homemade lip balm is made from natural ingredients and is free from chemicals, that's what makes it so much better :) So, we were in the kitchen messing around with different ingredients and finally we created the perfect lip balm!  

Here's how to make it:

Ingredients:

2 Tsp Coconut Oil
1 Tsp Beeswax

1/8 Tsp Vanilla Extract (or your favorite extract)

Optionals:

3 Drops Vitamin E oil (for moisture)

A pinch of Coco Powder (Flavor & Color)
4 Drops of you favorite Essential Oil

1/8 Tsp Honey (for moisture)




Directions:

1. In a microwave safe dish add coconut oil and beeswax.

   2. Heat in microwave for 1 minute or until beeswax is completely melted.

   3. Add in vanilla (or your extract).

    4. Mix well with spoon or toothpick.

    5. If you are adding optionals add them! :)

   6. Mix well again. Make sure everything is completely dissolved.

   7. Pour into a recycled lip balm tin, or whatever you want.

    8. Let cool for about 5 minutes.

    9. All done!! Enjoy your homemade flavored lip balm :)
