Natural Remedies For growing Longer Healthier Hair

Posted by Asiyah

Today I'm going to be giving you some tips on how to grow your hair very fast and keep it healthy at the same time. These are some natural remedies for hair that my mom has been using on our hair for a long time now. So, if you want long, silky, healthy hair then you should keep reading :)

Thickening, Strengthening & Moisturizing

1. In a medium size bowl  add 1 cup of yogurt.
2. Add 1 egg and 1 tsp of coconut oil.
3. Stir until it thickens.
4. Apply to your hair before washing. Leave in for about 1 hour (or as long as you want).

Bye-bye Dandruff

A lemon or a lime can take away all of your dandruff, my mother did that a couple of  times to my scalp, and it helped so much. So, here is how you do it:

1. Squeeze out the juice of three limes into a small bowl.
2. Dab it on your scalp before washing your hair.
3. Let it sit for about 1/2 hour.

Mayo & Egg for Moisture

This remedy has been used by a lot of people. Anyone that's ever used this on their hair will tell you that it works wonders! Its moisturizes your hair and makes it extremely silky and soft. My mom used this on my hair and it worked just the way everyone said it would, so i'm going to teach you how to get your hair extra silky and soft with just these two egg salad ingredients.

1. In a medium size bowl mix together 1/2 cup of mayo with 1 egg.
2. Apply it to your hair.
3. Let it sit for as long as you want (1/2 hour minimum time).
4. Wash it out of your hair ( I shampoo my hair twice when i do this).
5. All done!

Thicker, Silkier & Shinier

In a bowl mix together 2 cups of henna with maybe about 1/2 cup of sena tea (you might need more). I just slowly pour in the tea until I get a nice paste. Apply it to your hair before washing (you might need to shampoo your hair about three times!). This works really well. I have used it on my hair plenty of times and I get the same amazing results every time. It makes my hair so shiny and thick and it also brings out your natural highlights.

Darkening & Shining

In a medium bowl mix together 1 cup of coffee with 1/2 cup to 1 cup of  unsweetened cocoa powder. Apply this to your hair before washing. My older sister Samia recently did this to her hair. It really does make your hair shinier and darker too. You might have to apply it a couple of times to see the darkening of your hair.

Sealing up those split ends

In a small bowl heat up 1/4 cup of oil (it doesn't matter what kind of oil, but its better to use a natural oil) for about 1 minute in the microwave.  Dip your ends in the oil for about 10 minutes before washing your hair. This is another good way to keep your ends healthy and strong. If you do this once a week you should see results in no time! Doing this not only seals up your ends so you wont have to get your hair trimmed so often, but it also softens your hair.

That's about it for now.  If you have any requests be sure to let us know in the comments below. Thanks for reading!
