About a week ago my oven broke and I haven't baked anything since, so yesterday I decided to make a microwave cake (because I just couldn't take it anymore!). This was the first time I've ever made a microwave cake. The first time I ever had one was a couple of years ago, when I was about nine maybe. My mom had made it. I can't even remember how it tasted but I just remember thinking that it was so cool that we could make cakes in the microwave! First I got a recipe from the internet. That didn't turn out so well, so I made up my own recipe and it came out delicious! I was so surprised and proud of myself :) So, as always, i'm going to share this super easy and delicious recipe with you!
Ingredients:
3 Tablespoons of flour
3 Tablespoons of sugar
1 tbls plus 1 tsp of cocoa powder
1/8 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of baking powder
1/8 cup of butter melted
1/2 tsp vanilla
3 tbls milk
1 tbls of Betty Crocker chocolate flavored frosting, or 1 tbls of cocoa powder plus 1/2 tbls sugar.
Directions:
1. In a small bowl mix together dry ingredients. If you're using cocoa powder and sugar instead of frosting, add them in now.
2. Add in milk and vanilla. If you are not using frosting, add 1-2 more tabls of milk.
3. Melt butter with the frosting.
4. Add to the rest of the cake mixture and mix well.
5. Transfer the mixture to a mug or small dish.
6. Microwave for 1 minute & 30 seconds.
7. All done! I put some chocolate frosting on top of mine :D Mmmm so delicious.
